Music for the Brain
Improve Listening, Learning and Communications
skills
I am one of only 4 Certified
Provider-Bone Conduction (CP-BC) of The Listening Program® in Scotland which gives me access
to the higher level of technology, including TLP Bone Conduction, an exciting new development in the Advanced Brain
Technologies toolbox. Previously, this method was only
ever available in clinics but now is can be bought by schools or private individuals for use at home. I have used this technology with my pupils in school and now
have several clients, adults and children, using it also and gaining very positive results.

The Listening Program (TLP) is a Music Based Sound Stimulation
method that trains the brain to improve the auditory skills needed to effecftivley listen, learn and communicate.
Advanced Brain Technologies (ABT) developed TLP products building upon the key
concepts originated by the late Alfred Tomatis MD, a pioneer in the field of auditory intervention. The ABT interdisciplinary
development team is comprised of experienced professionals in the therapeutic, health, neurodevelopment, education, music
and sound engineering fields.
Available through an international network of over 1300 professionals, TLP is for home
use and implementation in school, healthcare centres, hospitals, companies, early intervention and music programmes.
Tens of thousands of children, adolescents
and adults worldwide have benefitted from this easy. affordable, enjoyable and effective method of auditory stimulation.

The Listening Program consists of an extensive series of high quality recordings
on iListen or CDs which integrate specially produced acoustic music, primarily classical, with innovative sound processing
techniques that exercise the brain and auditory pathways.
The Listening Program Classic Kit is the core of TLP.
It is initially used following a standard schedule of listening 5 days per week for 15 - 30 minutes each day, over the course
of 8 - 16 weeks. The kit is used for a second cycle to ensure the listener has received sufficient auditory stimulation
to accomplish and maintain initial listening goals and results. Most people find they feel better and realise further
gains with continued listening beyond the second cycle.

TLP specialised CDs are used for program
refinement in specific areas such as speech and language ability, sensory integration and for preparatory listening with young
or more sensory sensitive listeners prior to beginning standard schedules. Programmes are self-administered under the
monitoring and consultation of a trained Provider of TLP.
University research, school pilot studies, and case reports
consistently demonstrate 2-3 year gains on standardised testing with just 20 - 40 hours of listening! http://www.advancedbrain.com/PDF/Results/Research_Sheffield_TLP.pdf
